Nok Air Flight, Flew To Bangkok From Mae Sot For $41 CAD

The Nok air flight to Bangkok today went off without a hitch. The flight left early 1525 instead of 1540, and arrived in Bangkok at 1625. The plane was a 2 propeller job with 2 seats on the left and 2 seats on the right. We walked onto it in Mae Sot and took a airport transport bus to the terminal on reaching Bangkok's older Don Muang airport.

Because it was a low low discount flight I was only allowed a 7 kilo carry on bag, and we only got a small bottle of water on the flight. Still you can't beat that price, another bonus was I had an empty seat beside me, so had more leg room.

The strangest part of today's trip  was the flight from Mae Sot to Bangkok took 1 hour. The taxi trip from Bangkok's Don Muang Aiport to my hotel took longer, around 1 hour 30 minutes. You got to love Bangkok traffic. The traffic in Bangkok was recently ranked as the worst in the world (or near the worst). Today is Loy Krathong which made the traffic that much more intense, even the expressways where you pay a toll were bumper to bumper.
