Today under the freeway.
Spent about 3 hours under the freeway today. Some things learned.
- Khun Samon lives with Khun Ga (friend) under the small tent under the freeway. Photographed inside the tent today.
- Khun Owen is feared by other residents of Klong Toey. They view him as a dangerous drug addict. I was wormed to stay away from him. I will meet him again. Today he showed me his room (no power, a/c, or water, not even a door. Would like to photograph him there. He can be wild at times but he has never seemed threatening.
- Khun Veegood (old man from earlier) has many friends, met 3 today.
- Khun Champoo was in a fight or had an accident of some kind as he had a large bloody welt on his forehead today as he slept.
- Khun Ooh really loved the medicine we got for her dog Yap Yaun. She said it was VERY GOOD MEDCINE, that it worked very well on her dog. His fleas are almost gone, his eye and skin infection is almost gone. He asked for some of the same miricle medicine for herself. Got her something for her stomach plus some Gatorade and desert, will try to give it to her tomorrow.
Gave two bags of chicken and sticky rice to Khun Samon and Khun Ga. Hope they eat. I think they also might have substance abuse problems.
Am leaving Bangkok tomorrow to travel to the dump in Mae Sot to photograph and do donation work there. Am unsure if I can get in but will try. Also want to do an early morning under the freeway before I leave.
Today was a short photo day but a good meeting friend and photo day.
