This photo was made 2 days ago under the freeway. It is of Ga a quiet 30 year old woman who lives with Sanom in a tiny tent under the freeway. Khun Ga did not speak much, she is shy of me maybe a bit surprised and afraid. She seems to be traumatized in some way, not sure what happened in her life to leave her on the streets at a relatively young age. Ga has a softness to her, a beauty in her eyes and skin but there is lots of fear there as well. In this photo she stares out a small hole in her tent, keeping a watchful eye on what is happening outside and around her.
We (donators and myself) gave her and Sanom some chicken/sticky rice and a bit of money. It is now 4am, will head down to visit them again between 6-9am. I stayed an extra day in Bangkok to do one more series of photographs before heading North to Mae Sot and the dump.
