Quote: Jim Marshall

"When I am photographing people, I don't like to give any direction. I react to my subjects in their environment, and if it's going well, I get so immersed in that I become one with the camera."

Jim Marshall at Woodstock where he worked with 6 Leica's
You can see Mr. Marshall walking in the background of this very famous Santana moment at Woodstock. Marshall is visible at during Carlos Santana's guitar solo at 4 minutes into the video.  You can see him working with his 6 Leica's (must have been heavy!). Incidentally if you ever want to under the 60s watch the entire Woodstock documentary, it is the 60s incarnate. I wish I could have photographed in the 60s, the civil rights movement, the music festivals and most importantly in Vietnam.
