A new campaign has been launched in awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
The Red Ribbon initiative is a Treaty #3 movement for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people who stand against violence towards aboriginal women and girls.
The Red Ribbon represents Zahgidiwin or “Love”, in honour of the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
Wearing the red ribbon signifies a commitment to honour, respect, protect and love Indigenous women and girls and to come together in ending violence against Indigenous Women and Girls.
