Bought 2 pairs of rubber boots. I explained to the man at the shop that I had bought boots from him before, and that I was giving them to people who worked at the dump. He told me the price was 220 baht. I offered 400 for 2 pairs. He accepted then came back with the boots and 140 baht change from my 500 baht bill. What?? Why??? He told me that if I would come to his shop all the time he would sell me those same boots for 180 baht a pair. The quality is better, I have the money from the donations, this man is honest and good hearted, so why not! I will buy all my boots from his shop during my stay in Mae Sot. Works for me!
