Anders Petersen Books

A couple of days ago I received a compilation book of photos from Amazon, the photographers name is Anders Petersen out of Sweden. I had earlier seen the book at Larry's but was still blown away by the power of the imagery. There is a force to his photography that is difficult to explain. A unique powerful voice telling the stories of the complicated worlds the photographer inhabits.

Tonight I ordered another book on Petersen's work. From what I have read this was the book (Cafe Lemitz) that made him famous, it deals with the lives of the people who visited a cafe where Petersen lived and worked. The edition I ordered must be a reissue as the original publication dates back to the 60s.

I also bought this joint book tonight, it covers the work of Petersen and a unknown (to me at least) photographer named  Jacob Aue Sobol. From what I saw of his photos on google, they look very strong.
