I video taped and photographed one of the most difficult subjects I have ever done today. There was a group of over 25 Burmese working some recently deposited garbage (after a garbage truck dumped it on the ground). The mother of a young girl of maybe a 2 or 3 years old went to work in the garbage leaving her young child by herself. This young girl was holding a western black haired naked doll, as she stood their with files on her face and body she started to cry (missing her mom). To see that child standing in the garbage covered in flies while crying was heart breaking, its one of these things I am incapable of putting into words.
I plan on forwarding the photos and video to Fred Stockwell, a local expat westerner who has an organization here that raises money to help those in need.
