Phan Thi Kim Phuc is the young burned girl running for her life in this
Pulitzer Prize Winning Vietnam War Napalm Photo by Huynh Cong
("Nick") Ut. Nick and another photographer poured water on the young girl, then took her to hospital and insisted doctors treat her. Kim suvived after 17 operations. Two members of her family died in in this attack from napalm burns.
This photograph helped stop the Vietnam war. Social documentary
concerned photography can have a powerful and very positive effect on
peoples lives.
