Bought
another Ambrotype (photo on glass) for my little collection. It was
titled, "Antique Glass Ambrotype Pretty Woman Flowered Veil, Wedding?
Mid 1800s"
I liked her overall look and expression, there is a sadness there like in so many ambrotypes. I usually go for the cheaper buys as I cannot afford the more expensive eBay auctions. My hope is these will help inspire me to do my own good wet plate photography. Plus pictures on glass are so much fun to look at!! The cost was $28.27 USD including shipping to Canada. I wonder who she was, what kind of life she had.
