Today I returned to the dump for the first time in 5 1/2 months. I was greeted by Mingala Ba's from afar and up close, some were spoken softly others were yelled out with smiles and waves. I remember 30+ people from last trip, some are missing like the young bride, the Burmese boy I was closer to who spoke Thai and the lady who found the hairpin in the dump and placed it in her hair (met her husband but not her). I need to make more of an effort to learn the names and ages of all the people here. I have a hard time remembering Burmese names as the names that have been given to me so far are very long and difficult to remember.
