Mixed up my first salt sensitizer solution before bed today. You use this salt mix to coat your paper, then dry the paper, add a second coat of 10-15% solution of Silver Nitrate before contact exposing the image under UV light.
500 ml distilled water.
10 grams of bloomed (soaked in water for 10 minutes and heated to 65C) gelatin.
10 grams of sodium chloride (no additive sea salt).
I will mix a 12% solution of silver nitrate tomorrow after work. The plan is to be making salt prints next week off. The digital neg might slow me down. I do not have a dedicated curve for salt yet. Also I think I need to get inks for the printer.
