Living In Klong Toey?

When I was in Klong Toey last month I saw 2 different rooms for rent, one for 1500 and one for 2000 baht a month ($49-$66 CAD) plus electricity/water. Wouldn't it be grand to just set up shop my next trip in one of these small rooms. I could spend my days wandering the slum with view camera and tripod over my shoulder making friends and portraits of the people I meet. It would be a wonderful way to spend a month in Thailand.
