We continue our daily chronicles ushering in 2011 with Gerry Yaum, Canadian photographer has always been interested in the human universe likes to tell the different cultures. Gerry is a purist of photography and as such works exclusively in film and developing his photos in his darkroom. The series "Sex Workers"is a work started in 2007 when Gerry portrays women, men and transgender employees in the sex industry in Thailand. The sense of this work is to document and create an archive of people destined to be forgotten. The thing that has most impressed with Gerry since he started this job is the speed of replacement of this mass of souls who work in paid sex. A year and a year later we are no longer the same people who seem like they vanished into thin air. This photographic work has as its ultimate goal to stop in time the image of these people, Gerry considers important, because it can be stored memory.
