I so want the project AMBROTOS KANATA to raise awareness and to help people. This is not about me, not about my selfish needs.
For the social documentary parts of the project, the ambrotypes need to be about the people in the pictures, telling their stories effectively with compassion and understanding. Then taking those images and placing them in places (museums-collections) that will help raise awareness, that will help educate, that might even help build trust and understanding.
This is especially the case with any part of the AMBROTOS KANATA that deals with First Nations subjects-issues. There is so much racism and misunderstanding in Canada, maybe the ambrotypes can help a tiny bit. Any movement forward is a good movement, a good thing. Got to try to do what you can, make a best effort.
