The cover image is of Khun Oye. She is a 72 year old women living in Klong Toey slum in Bangkok Thailand. The picture was made in 2018, I met and photographed her again in 2022. She is a tough, smart and kind person. Khun (Miss) Oye is part of the long term photo project THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE UNDER THE FREEWAY.
There are 11 photos, plus an interview, about my two Thai projects THE FAMILIES OF THE DUMP and THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE UNDER THE FREEWAY in the issue.
Note* We raise money and hand out free goods to directly help the people in the pictures. Telling photo stories and then helping the people in the stories is the best feeling in the world.
