I learned on my 2022 trip to the dump that Mr. Woo had passed away, leaving a wife, son and daughter. I was told he drank too much and that his heart-body was too weak to live with it. He was a man who always seemed sad to me, He was very thin and had expressive eyes. At the end he had separated from his wife and lived on his own in the garbage. I photographed him at least a dozen times, over many years. I miss him.
