Filip sent me photos of my completed camera backs, film holder and plate holders. These include:
- 35x35 wet plate back
- 27x35 wet plate back
- 20x24 film reducing back (from 35x35)
- 35x35 wet plate holder
- 27x35 wet plate holder
- 20x24 film holder
I hope I have the skills, heart and drive to use these tools to their fullest. So much good work can come out of this camera but not sure I am the one to do that. I will try my best, I guess that is all I can promise myself. One step at a time, and I will work very hard. The photo project "Kanata" (a documentation of Canada) is impossible and both frightening and exciting. Lets go for it!!!!!
NOTE* This camera will be used in a 10-15 year cross Canada photography project I am calling KANATA, the story of Canada in landscapes and portraits, done using the ancient technique of wet plate collodion (ambrotypes, pics on glass). I will make photos in this series until I am physically un able to do so (years 60 to 75?).
