It looks like the exhibition at the "Penticton Gallery of Art" is a go. It will probably happen in Sept/Oct 2018. Today I got an email from Paul the gallery curator. I am not sure how many prints from "Families of the Dump" will be exhibited (probably not a lot), and do not have a final date set yet, but it seems to be a go. Was happy to receive Paul's email, it cheered me up. After the chaos in Mae Sot, finally some good news. This will be the biggest facility, that the work has been shown at. Hopefully the exhibition leads to more learning, understanding and raises questions about the lives of the people here in the dump. I also hope the work promotes discussion about economic disparity world wide (something Fred talks about often). What is happening in the dump is not an isolated event.
