Tonight I walked through and over the garbage to an area of shacks led by 2 barefoot young boys. I have never walked through the garbage dump at night before. In 2016 I did shoot some night time work but never have I walked the garbage like this. The boys would have done it without lights of any kind. I had a light source allowed me to film in the almost complete darkness. Having the light also gave us a better view of where we were going.
That is me huffing and puffing, through out the walk, it was quite high up and I was carrying both a backpack and camera bag while filming with one hand and lighting with the other. One of the people up front was carrying my tripod. We were walking back to my motorbike before heading to the Buddhist festival 2 or 3 km up the road. Most of the people who attended the festival walked there from the dump and from the surrounding areas.
