With wet plate photography your always timing exposures because of the slow speed of the glass plates. I have a cheap digital stopwatch but do not like the thing. The digital has too many functions and is a real pain to use. I decided to buy a vintage dial style watch. I have two vintage dial stopwatches now, a more expensive Japanese beauty and this $39.50 USD (plus shipping) watch from the now extinct Soviet Union. You know it’s QUALITY when it says “Made in CCCP”. It comes in its own brown plastic box with faded yellowed instructions in Russian (Ukrainian?). I love to listen to it tick, soothing some how.
