A Good Judge

What makes a good judge? A person who has strong opinions and is not afraid to say what he/she feels. A judge that is afraid to say what they feel is pretty much useless, if they are worried that they will hurt peoples feelings they are of no use to anyone. A judge needs to spit out the good and the bad and the reasons why without holding back.

I think people who give their work up for judging need to be a little thick skinned. They need to understand that they can learn as much from negative comments as they can from positive ones and to take everything with a grain of salt. The negative comments or the positive comments are after all merely an opinion. Opinions can be right or wrong.
