Liked this pic, so am posting it before I leave Mae Sot. The photo was made tonight as I was leaving the dump. I have a number of variations on the orange eating, some closer, some from a slightly different angle. Initially liked this one so here it is. Will look at the variations later more carefully when time permits.
The pic is of one of the Win boys who found oranges in the garbage ("Lem-oh-dee" in Burmese) and was having a meal after his work was done. The next garbage truck was about an our away at 11pm, so he took his time and enjoyed several oranges.
Note* It is quite common for children to eat food found in the garbage, especially fruits and sweet sugary stuff. Tonight I saw a young girl (10 ?) try to open a package of hot chocolate powder she had found in the garbage. She was ripping at the package trying to get st what was inside. I walked over and gave her a SOLO, a lollipop. Not sure what she did with the sweet powder.
