This photograph idea was heavily influenced by the all time great photo of the Bud Fields family made by Walker Evans. I want to try to do more of these type photographs in the future. I might move up to a 8x10 camera (like Evans) from my 5x7. What I find amazing after looking at these 2 images side by side is the fact that 80 years after Mr. Evans made his portrait, families are still living in such deplorable conditions. How can that be?
