There are new families here in the dump, families that have almost nothing. These new families, these new people are sleeping mostly in the open with only the most rudimentary of shelters. I plan on giving my first care packages to these new families tomorrow.
Amongst these new groups I photographed 2 young boys maybe 12 or 13 years old sleeping on the ground, one was barefoot, they were covered in flies. It was something I have only seen on TV, people sleeping in garbage, exposed to the elements, dirty and desperate (will post video later).
