May 2021 marks 2 years since I left Thailand. I miss the country terribly. Hoping if 3 things go right I can return at the end of this year.
1) I get both vaccine shots (this is on schedule)
2) Thailand allows people into the country with limited or no quarantines. This is happening as early as July but the recent surge might stop progress.
3) Canada allows Canadians to return to the country without crazy long quarantines/tests and hotels expenses. This one is the biggest unknown and very doubtful at present.
A 2022 trip to Thailand seems more likely, unfortunately.
