An Email Exchange With Mr Tim Page

Had a nice little email exchange with the world famous Vietnam and South East Asia photojournalist Tim Page. Tim covered the Vietnam war with all the greats, he currently lives in Australia. It is a privilege to communicate with a man who has done so much good with his photography and his life.

I highly recommend his book created with Horst Faas “Requiem”. There might be a second edition of this important work coming out in the near future.

Here is Tim’s kind message.

Note* He is referring to “The Families of The Dump” Project.

Gerry

Thanks very much for your email and the kind words.
Pleased that you were touched by REQUIEM - I think it is my finest work.
There are still copies of the book out there on Amazon and eBay - so hope that you get one, they are collectors items now.
I am going to try and get it republished - though with so many perminssions from families and trusts and agencies and Horst no longer being alive and working at the AP - it is a huge job!
I checked out your work on the site - good stuff abnd tough work, keep with it.
The only hope these people have are people like yourself.

Hope the new year is a good one for you
Best
Tim
