Am starting to prepare for the day I will be doing silver gelatin contact prints and alternative process printing like platinum. Today I picked up an old but large contacting printing frame measuring in at 16 1/2 by 13 1/2 by 1 1/2 (depth). The contact printing frame should work nicely with my 11x14 size negs and prints. This unit will allow me to expose both under my enlarger and in sunlight. I will sand down and repaint the metal spring clamps on the back. Might also repaint the entire wooden frame? Black? Red? Orange again? I might also replace the glass depending on its condition. The cost was a cheapish $31 USD plus shipping to Canada.
