Today I bought a 11x14 glass film holder for my new 11x14 camera, hope it fits properly! I was looking to get a wet plate holder from my former teacher but that is very expensive at $600 USD (plus shipping). This one is much cheaper so I went in that direction.
Originally I saw this holder listed at $239 USD, then today it was listed at $219 USD, I offered the seller $200 USD (plus shipping) and he said OK. Hopefully this thing works well for me or I will still have to buy the $600 model from my teacher. Took a bit of a chance her, trying to save $400 USD. Hope I did not make a mistake.
I need to cut back on all the spending, using up to much of my earnings and savings. Need to save more and see where I stand with all this new gear. I have opened up a bunch of new directions I can go with my photography, ULF photography both film and wet plate. Lets settle down and start to use the gear now. When everything arrives, I should have the capability to do 4x5, 8x10, 11x14, 12x20, 16x16, 16x20 wet plate and 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20 film photography.
