Am reading a wonderful book "The New Founde Land" by the great Canadian writer Farley Mowat. The book is a compilation of stories on our most distinct Canadian province, the island Newfoundland.
So far the book is filled with wonderful stories filled with insight, humour and atmosphere. Reading about these amazing characters makes me want to go out and do some photos. Maybe someday I can go to my fellow Canadian province and make some portraits. It would certainly be physically easier to work in Canada thou a lot more expensive. A Gerry Yaum at 70 years old photography project? Photographing the people of "The Rock!" It might be something to do as an old man when international travel and living could prove to difficult.
Here is this outstanding book selling for 1 penny plus shipping. I bought my hard copy version 20 years or so ago and just recently found it again.
