I have been reading 4 books on W. Eugene Smith, also watched several vids. They talk about his prints having PRESENCE and that he would GIVE BIRTH to his pictures in the darkroom. That seems so glorious to me. I need to work harder and be more fierce in the darkroom and print with confidence and boldness for PRESENCE in my photographs. Been playing in photo shop trying to figure out what look I wanted to chase in the darkroom later on.
Here is a bit of experimentation for you. With a wet darkroom nicely bleached print should look better than these samples. Hopefully can do a bit of the giving birth thingy myself in the darkroom, this week and the coming weeks.
