On the last day in the dump I did one final climb up a garbage mountain. I needed to get a higher perspective of the people working below so up I went. The garbage was hot from the day in the sun, and it was filled with flies. I must have disturbed their sleep because when I got to the top and started to photograph the action belwo they were all over me, buzzing my face, climbing down the neck area of my shirt, climbing on the lens. Funny how after years in the dump, things like this bother me less, the flies here used to freak me out, not anymore. I needed the shot, climbed the garbage mountain to get the shot, and I got it!
