Made another Ambrotype plate box yesterday. I think this is the 5th one. They are getting better but more improvements in woodworking technique and box design. ahead. I painted this one green with cheapo $15 paint from the ReStore shop. It can hold 21-14x14 or 11x14 inch 4mm plates in this box.
The idea is to take these things on the road with cleaned, ready to use plates, and return with dried Ambrotype possibly varnished.
Note* In the future I will be making these boxes on wheels, that can hold and transport heavier 24x24 inch glass plates.
