I just heard back from Kurt M who is becoming a great new friend
for me. Kurt told me he knew of 5 of these lens (now 6) and the last one
he saw sold to a friend of his for $16000 Euros ($17900 USD), wow!!
Probably in pristine mint condition but that is a huge price difference.
Maybe getting both the Zeiss Tessar and this Nikkor Apo so quickly is a sign. If fate telling me that I am destined to make these pictures? Are the gods of karma helping me out again?
Not sure, but that $17900 USD number makes my $3857 USD buy seem not so expensive now.
