Am thinking of taking only my Leica R 35mm with me to Thailand. I have both M rangefinder and R SLR Leica's both are great camera systems. The Leica R have slower lens f2.8s but are lighter and allow for much closer focusing. The Leica M cameras are super tough a bit smaller to carry and a true joy to use.
What to do? I could take 2 R bodies with 28mm f2.8, 35mm f2.8 and a 60mm f2.8 (macro feature). I also have a Speedbooster to allow me to use the Leica R lens on my BMCPP video cameras. I really like the close focus ability, but dislike the lost in speed. I have a wonderful 35mm F1.4 lens for the Leica M that I hate, HATE to leave bebind, also a 28mm F2 and a 21mm.
